Wine tasting, visiting châteaux, relaxing by the pool, sunbathing on the beach, canoeing, cycling, walking, enjoying French cuisine, shopping in the local markets…there is no shortage of things to do.

At La Panneterie you can spend the day simply relaxing by the pool, playing croquet or badminton, enjoying a glass of wine or going for a bicycle ride. There is a 60km cycle track less than 1km from the property that will take you through the picturesque countryside of the Entre-Deux-Mers. We also have plenty of outdoor toys to share.

Being situated in the middle of one of the most well-known wine regions in the world there are plenty of possibilities for wine tastings and visiting châteaux.

A lot can be done in just one day as we are only 20 minutes by car from the Unesco world heritage site of Saint-Emilion, 40 minutes from the Graves region and approximlately 1 hour from the famous vineyards of the Médoc.

The wonderful beaches of the Atlantic coast around Archachon and Cap Ferret are little more than an hour’s drive away. Heading East there are lovely bastide towns set in the peaceful countryside between the Dordogne and Garonne rivers.

The city of Bordeaux is approximately 40 minutes by car. This city is full of wonderful experiences to enjoy : beautiful parks, the river front, endless amount of restaurants, several bike and walking tours to choose from, art, markets, shops, a brand new wine experience center Cité du Vin and some of the best food in all of France
